We understand that unexpected situations may arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you notify our office within the appropriate time frame as listed below. To ensure efficient use of provider time and availability for all patients, our practice has implemented the follow No Show Policy:
A no show is defined as failure to attend a scheduled appointment or failure to cancel within the required notice period.
New Patient Appointments
Patients must provide at least a 24 hours’ notice to reschedule an appointment. Failure to do so will result in restriction of rescheduling. Due to limited availability, new patients are only allowed to reschedule an appointment once.
Office Appointments
Patients must provide at least a 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Failure to do so will result in a $25 no show fee.
Procedure Appointments
Patients must provide at least a 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a procedure appointment (ie. Monalisa, LEEP, Colposcopy, Saline Infused Ultrasound, EMB). Failure to do so will result in a $50 no show fee.
Mobile Anesthesia Procedure Appointments
Due to coordination with the third-party anesthesia team and limited scheduling availability, cancellations and reschedules must be made no later than 12:00pm on the Friday prior to the scheduled appointment. Failure to do so will result in a $75 no show fee.
Hospital Surgery Appointments
Due to the operating room scheduling constraints and the significant allocation of time and resources, cancellations and reschedules must be made at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. Failure to comply will result in a $100 no show fee.
All no show fees are the sole responsibility of the patient and are not billable to insurance. Payment of the no show fee is due prior to rescheduling. Repeated no shows may result in restriction of scheduling privileges or dismissal from the practice; at the provider’s discretion.
Requests to waive the no show fee due to illness must be supported by appropriate medical documentation (ie. a physician’s note) and are subject to provider review and approval.
By scheduling an appointment, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this policy.
